26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will.
28 We are assured and know that [[a]God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

Thanks, Mike....I was just going to offer to create a page for prayer!
I'll go first....
Prayers appreciated for my grandfather Robert...he has various serious health problems, lives alone now and could be described as agnostic (and a stubborn one, at that!) What a shout there will be in Heaven the day his life is surrendered to Christ!
Also, prayers for Valerie/family, the soon-to-be triplet mommy I'm helping. She could deliver at any time now and they don't have any family around to help, plus they have a 10-month old son.
And prayers for our own family....hubby's job is slow (builder industry), I'm not earning any money right now and we're getting ready to begin the process to see if there's another baby to add to the family. Most people will think we're crazy, but we're only crazy for the Lord. We want to honor the Lord and honor the lives that He's given us and I have zero doubt that if He has more in store, we'll have more than enough in the storeroom to care for them.
(my new signoff....call you guess it?)
FSGTB,
Jen
Hey, Let's add another Robert. My father in law had a mini stroke this week and is still wobbly. He is a believer.
Thanks and Jen, I know you know this, but I thought it would be good to mention it again. God's word doesn't return void. You can be rest assured that the Holy Spirit spoke to your Granddad thru your note.
praying...
Hi Lori,
Will pray for your Robert, too.
Yes, I do believe my letter will bring about change because I was following the lead I was given. No peace in my heart before that, but now I don't have a burden like before. Hunger to pray, but no burden.
Please pray fervently for Valerie. I just got an email from her and she sounds like she might be moving toward labor. Babies are just shy of 30 weeks (I delivered at 29/5days) so they should do well as they will be in a level 3 NICU. However, she is very stressed about a variety of issues, not even to mention having 4 kids under 1 year old soon! Baby C is at risk for Downs. Her son was an identical twin who was lost at 5 months in-utero and I don't think she ever grieved him. Also big conflicts with mother and no one close by to support her. I got in touch with her bc she attends our church and asked for help, but I don't know if she's saved or not. Our church gets alot of seekers and ex-Catholics. So my time with her will be practical and hopefully spiritually beneficial.
I'll update once I know how things are going.
FSGTB,
Jen
Suggestion:
We could add the first names of all unsaved family members (also friends) for salvation. And then begin to cross their names off, one by one, as they come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Maybe another section? Just a thought.
What a wonderful idea Marge!
I love it!
Yes, I do think we should have a separate section. That way we could really focus on the triumphs of salvation.
What do the rest of you think?
I was going to suggest that we have yet another page for "praises."
In my freedom days (before kids) my prayer journal spanned two pages of a notebook. The left side was for prayers, the right side was for praises. I loved it when I could cross off a prayer and move it to the praise side.
That was also a faith-builder, seeing God at work in the various aspects of my life. When I felt overwhelmed by the needs, I could look at the answers and know that He was indeed busy turning things around and bringing solutions about.
I think, too, that specific names for unsaved people in our families to pray for is a great idea. I would certainly have a big list but each member is dear to me and I am very hopeful that many more will come to Christ before the sand runs out.
I'm on board!
FSGTB,
Jen
Ok, I'll try to find some names to go with.
Praise Reports
One for those God is still pursuing
And I'd like to add a third for inspirational stories of God's hand in His childrens life's (like the McDonalds one). I love the Beth Moore story of her having to comb an old mans hair.

Hi friends,
I would really appreciate prayers for 2 needs that have come up recently....one big and one bigger!
Our computer has been showing some signs of getting ready to sputter out recently, ever since we upgraded our protection plan, ironically! The motor starts to hum higher and higher and it won't respond to any commands after that. We're not very techie when it comes to diagnostics and we've done all we know how to do. I'm going to save everything this morning just in case. BTW, is there a way to export your email addresses and favorites website list? I always forget that those get lost in a crash. But I think a good dose of prayer would actually fix the problem so I'll ask for that.
And the bigger problem involves my husband's struggle with trusting God in the midst of these shaky financial times. We had a discussion last night that got a little sour. I get exasperated that all his decisions are based on how to save money and prepare for the myriad costs of the future. Last night it was borderline ridiculous....if we have another baby we might not be able to take the family to Disney World and wouldn't that be sad for the kids...I'm serious! This is where his mind is! And then the college tuition discussion and never being able to move into the "next" house. He thinks I just blow it off and have a laizze-fair attitude about God providing (if he only knew what I know about God's provision!) I grew up in hard financial straits and saw God provide for my family time and again. Bob's family never struggled and there was a STRONG focus and expectation on going to college, getting a good job and making a living for yourself by hard work and good planning. Well, that's not enough in these turbulent times and when there might be another mouth to feed. He might actually have to trust God and let go of his ideas about being the provider for this family. Don't get me wrong...I wouldn't trade him for a million dollars and he's a far better husband and father than I'm giving credit for. But as we approach decision time on this family issue, I can see his resolve quivering and he's looking for a way to take care of our obligations while at the same time avoiding any additional ones. I ended the discussion last night with "I love you" and "Just open your Bible and read it." We'll see where things go from there, but I'll be praying for him to experience the full peace of God and get excited to watch God provide for these needs in spite of what the stock market does.
Gotta run,
FSGTB!
Jen
Jen,
You were wise in ending your conversation with love. Because being right, without love is a hollow victory.
And yes, let's all agree that God shifts your husband's focus from the material world, to the promises and provisions of God, amen? God can make a way, where there seems to be no way. (computer problems, included :)
I have noted all of the prayer needs and I am praying! I know this sounds really stupid but I had a terrible time in understanding where this page was. It isn't anything other than my mind is tired from the past 3 weeks of computer problems and what to fix for dinner in this hot weather and not heat the kitchen. Hubbie's idea!!!!
Need to add to the prayer requests the needs of Perry Stone's Ministry web site, www.voe.org. I told about it at the main page here but he has had to close down his regular site because some scumbum hacked into it and was using it to infect a whole lot of computers. Besides that they were stealing the info on our computers for their gain. Called in all of the experts to stop the leakage and now the site is down until they can get it fixed. Perry is just beginning his summer conference schedules and this is just another attack by the devil to stop the messages going out. The biggest message was Perry and his father were sharing about the Prophetic message/dreams he has had and how it affects all of us in the USA. His site was so busy with people going there that the ministry had to add server space. Kinda like telephone lines would be in the good ole days. In that process, someone hacked their site and now Perry has the expense of fixing it. Summer time is a very slow time for ministries to receive money to support their outreaches and daily needs.
Please keep them in your prayers.
Grany
Jen,
My husband said your hard drive is getting ready to crash.
Right click on your start button and scroll up to documents, find favorites folder and copy that list to a thumb drive or a CD.
Copy your email list and send it to your own address, but do not open it. That way it'll be accessible.
I hope this helps.
lori
Jen,
And we're praying for your husband and your financial situation.
May I please say something about tuition. First of all, many people find a way to go to college without their parents working themselves to death to get the education.
Of course if you can, that's good, but don't beat yourself up over it. My daughter put herself thru college by working parttime. She told me afterward that she was glad she did, it made her appreciate it all the more.
Disney is over-rated.
Don't take them when they're really young, it's a waste of money and time.
We're raising a family of 5 in a 1200 square foot home. It's cozy, but we manage... oh yeah, we have 3 bedrooms, two large indoor dogs, two full size pianos, a drum set, guitar, mandolin, banjo, foosball table, two refrigerators... did I say cozy? lol
I'm guessing from your note that it's your husband who is struggling with the issue of provision.
We will definitely keep him in our prayers.
Please pray that Joyce's (JIB) broken foot will be healed very soon.
Please pray with me, about an exciting Real Estate opportunity, that has suddenly developed, only today.
Lord God we ask for favor for Marge regarding this real estate deal. Father, we ask that you watch out for her best interests and reveal anything that is not of you. Please stop this deal if it is not your will for her and if it is, please show her that as well, in Jesus's name we pray, amen.
Please agree with me in prayer for complete restoration of my kidneys, bladder and all that stuff. I had a back ache for 3 days that I completely blew off until it made me nauseous. Then I drank some cran juice for a day and forgot about it. I was ready for church this morning and then the pain in my bladder was so strong, I was unable to proceed. My boss is going to be gone for 2 days this week. That would leave me as the only person who can run the register.... so when I have to go, I'll have to wait.
I need an intervention by God. There are some situations at work that need some attention to bring it up to par.
MARGE, I am in total agreement and praying that all of the details will be worked out in your favor. Need help moving your things?
LORI, I am praying and Satan has to remove the affliction that he has placed on your urinary tract and clear out his residue. God's temple cannot be contaminated by anything.
Praying that everything comes out in health and wellness for our Lori.
Love to all,
Grany
Lori,
I'm also agreeing with Grany, in prayer, for your health.
And thank you for your prayer, for me, too. It is much appreciated.
Grany,
Thanks! I need all the help I can get, LOL! This will have to be God, because right now, it's only speculation.
Praise God, I'm stretching my faith, and that is exciting!
This is a poem that I received in today's mail, on the back of a magazine, (Christian) that I have never seen before, and I never ordered, either. The author is unknown. It's simply called:
The Jew
Scattered by God's avanging hand,
Afflicted and forlorn,
Sad wanderers from their pleasant land,
Do Judah's children mourn:
And e'en in Christian countries, few
Breathe thoughts of pity for the Jew
Yet listen Gentile, do you love
The Bible's precious page?
Then let your heart with kindness move
To Israel's heritage:
Who traced those lines of love for you?----
Each sacred writer was a Jew.
And then as years and ages past,
And nations rose and fell,
Though clouds and darkness oft were cast
O'er captive Israel.
The oracles of God for you
Were kept in safety by the Jew.
And when the great Messiah came
For guilty men to bleed,
He did not take an angel's name,
No----born of Abraham's seed-----
Jesus, who gave His life for you.
the gentle Savior was a Jew.
And though His own received Him not,
And turned in pride away,
Whence is the Gentile's happier lot?
Are you more just than they?
No, God in pity turned to you----
Have you no pity for the Jew?
Go, then, and bend your knee to pray
For Israel's ancient race:
Ask the dear Savior every day
To call them by His grace:
Go, for a debt of love is due
From Christian Gentiles to the Jew.
Amen. And amen.
Hi all,
I got home from a day out with the kids and Valerie was calling from the hospital. She has been having some pretty severe right-side pain in her lower abdomen/thigh. It usually subsides after an hour or so. It began again early this morning and never went away. At 10AM she was taken to the hospital and is still there (I talked with her around 7PM). Her husband is at home with their son so she was alone at that point and in very severe pain. The drs. are concerned it might be a uterine rupture because she had a previous c-section and with triplets, she's extra stretched. They won't give her anything stronger than Tylenol because they don't want to mask the pain if the uterus does rupture. It's all very scary and life-threatening and she's going through a lot of it alone. I think her mom is coming in tonight to stay with her, but that might not be much help. I offered to drive down to be with her, but she said it wasn't necessary. Still not sure if I won't go. I did pray with her and ask in Jesus' name for her pain to subside and any problems in her body to be healed immediately. I prayed over the babies, too. I think gestationally, they're at a safe stage (31+ weeks) but her condition is what concerns me right now. She said if the pain doesn't subside they may do a csection tonight. So please join me in asking the Lord to give her physical, mental and emotional calm/peace and also for the babies to be protected during this time.
I'm so humbled to be able to help in this way and I know that Valerie and all those around her will be touched with the Lord's love and care as a result. As I was praying, I felt the presence of Holy Spirit washing over me - do you guys feel that sensation when you're in the Spirit? Like a warm tingle running all over your skin? Isn't that an amazing privelege in itself? To be used by the Lord to do work for Him? What a God we serve!
FSGTB,
Jen
Dear Lord, We agree with Jen and ask that you heal her and protect the little ones she's carrying. Lord, please give the doctor's and nurses wisdom to make the right suggestions and for Valerie and her family to make the right decisions regarding her care and the children's care.. in Jesus's Name we pray... amen
Okay, Lord you know that i was praying for Valerie right? thanks for being all knowing... love ya
Amen, to all prayers for Valerie, and her unborn children.
May all be well with them.
please pray for friends of hers child, and put her and her family on as many prayer list as we can. The little girl is Jesse Keaton, she is 6 yrs old. The family is the Jason Keaton family. The father was bush -hogging yesterday(Jesse was riding with him), Jesse fell off the tractor and was run over by the bush hog. She is in critical condition and chances are she will lose her left hand and maybe her right also.
Also, Jim in Boca needs prayer. He's a middle aged guy who's heart has been so weak, doctor's just put in a pace maker.
sorry for not editing the request for little Jesse to read properly.
Oh shoot, now it looks like I'm insinuating that Jesse can't read.
I think you know what I mean...
Message (last night) from Beth about Geoff:
We were in the ER for 7 hours and I couldn't use my cell phone in there. Every time I tried to or did leave the room, someone came in with information and I missed it. I am home right now getting my stuff together and am heading back up to the hospital to spend the night.
Geoff's color has returned and his blood work is good, however, on the x-ray they have spotted a blockage around his pancreas. Please be in prayer that it will be naturally unblocked, because surgery would NOT be good for him because of his situation inside his body. They say that if it is scar tissue or adhesions, that would probably warrant surgery which is usually simple but of course not in his case. We need another miracle. PTL. I'm truly scared, but trying to keep my wits about me this time. God help us.
Love you all and thanks for all your prayers,
Beth
Lori,
I'm agreeing in prayer, with you, and others, that God answers each and every prayer, in Jesus name. And for health to be restored, and miracles to take place, when needed.
My daughter Brittany and her husband of 1 year have been having some financial problems of their own making! I do see that my daughter has reached out to the Lord like never before. I pray that it is not just for the temporary money outcome but that He brings her and her hubby to true salvation.
Her best friends fiance is going in for tests to see if he has cystic fibrosis. He is Jewish. Her friend comes from a family that some people know the Lord but she is not walking with Him. I pray for God's working in their hearts and will for the outcome on the CF tests.
Praying for your requests, Grace...
Little Jacob Brown, 4-yr-old son of a college friend, needs heavy doses of prayer as he continue to fight his rare genetic/immune system disease. You can visit the family's website and read the latest blog entry here
He's overcome so much but each hurdle seems to bring 3 more. He's endured more in 4 years than most people will in a lifetime.
Please join me in lifting him and the entire family up in prayer!
FSGTB,
Jen
Grace,
I'm agreeing with you in prayer, for your daughter to be saved. And also for God to give her, and her husband wisdom to get out of debt.
And I'm also in agreement with you, about her Jewish friend's fiance's health.
Jen,
I'm also in agreement about Jacob's health, and healing.
Praise God for answered prayer!
To God be great glory for the things He has, and will do. His mercies are new every morning. Praise be to our Lord God almighty!
There is a young lady who desperately wants to attend a Christian college locally. She is short several thousand dollars. She has secured a job on campus that she will begin in about two weeks. So far almost 1/2 her tuition was miraculously covered.
Oddly enough, her last two employers left her high and dry without paying her. One was a photo studio. She got a lawyer who got this person to agree to pay her back this year, but not a cent was sent yet, and the amount is over $3000.
Then her last employer apparently had problems, because one day this young lady goes to work and there's a note on the door, "Closed." She hasn't heard from the company, the owner, nor has a check arrived.
This girl needs a miracle, and God's in the miracle business.
Please pray and ask God to loose this money whereever it is, as well as what she is owed so she can pursue her education at this college.
Hi everyone,
Lots been going on the last week or two and several prayer requests to post...
First, Valerie brought 1 baby home yesterday and the other 2 are coming tomorrow. So far all are healthy and doing well. Things will get interesting once everyone is home and the mom/dad are in charge of round-the-clock care. Prayers for health, rest and good chemistry between all the helpers who will be coming into the home. Also, Steve's mom is living with them for the time being, but isn't really much help....not a nurturer and has lots of "conditions" so I don't know how much help she'll actually offer. Could get tense when sleep deprivation sets in.
Also, I went to see an endocrinologist today at the recommendation of my regular dr. I have a hormonal imbalance which caused my trouble getting/staying pregnant but also can eventually lead to diabetes so I need to have things monitored on a regular basis. In the process of the exam, the endo. found a growth on my left thyroid and called it "fairly large." I'm having a biopsy on the 22nd to see what's going on. I don't feel any fear about it and am trusting the good outcome to the Lord, but I would definitely appreciate others joining me in prayers for healing and restoration! I praise God today for His daily mercies and good gifts!
FSGTB,
Jen
praying for you, Jen and the triplet family
